**ABOUT THE EVENT**

A lot has been ongoing with Persons With Disabilities, ranging from Depression as a result of Societal Neglecting, baseless superstitions, Discrimination and Stigmatization in our society today. ALL AFRICA DEAF ARTS CREATIVE WORKSHOP and FESTIVAL is a thoughtful and event-filled Project which aims at breaking the bias on Deaf and Disability based stereotypes.

Deaf Artistes are currently not in the core of the community due to damaged self esteem, baseless superstitions, discrimination and social vices.
The present Nigeria is on a stunted developmental level that triggers frustrated living, human trafficking and street begging; including all sorts of immoralities as a result of neglect, idleness, scorn from the society and nothing to do for survival. Whereas, Arts is an integral part of the way we experience life. Whether we stay at home, travel the world, are engaged with latest news and political debates, enjoy reading a good book, watching a good movie or listening to music, we are actively involved in the arts that surrounds us.

**WHY THE EVENT**

Due to Inaccessibility to Arts and Entertainment Industry in the society by Deaf Artistes, Lack of access to information, Discrimination and Stigmatization from the wider society, Lack of Social Inclusion, Societal Neglect, Disdain of Artistes living with Disability, Lack of exposure of the talents and abilities of the Deaf artistes. Seams Deaf-Pro Foundation and like-minds teamed up to fight this course, in other to promote Inclusion in our society and help Artistes with Disabilities live worthy and fulfilling lives even with their Disabilities.

**WHAT WE HOPE TO ACHIEVE…**

With this Project, we aim to increase the confidence among Deaf individuals and showcase Deaf talents in creative sports, Deaf Arts and Culture by bringing together at least 100 Deaf Artistes from selected African Countries with at least 3000 Audience, including Hearing Audience from different parts of Africa to witness this beauty and afterwards, share the mind blowing event, which will serve as a creative way of creating and promoting awareness about the already disdain Artistes with Disabilities.

With this project, we also aim at giving hopes to other Deaf Artistes who are in the hiding, living in depression and feeling left out already. We aim at empowering more Deaf Artistes whom we have been professionally training for live performances, for not just only this event, but future events that will promote Deaf Artistes into the larger entertainment market, as well as prone disdain of the Artistes living with Disability in our society. Moreso, ALL AFRICA DEAF ARTS FESTIVAL will aid Deaf Artistes gain accessibility to Arts and Entertainment Industry, as the event have been designed to be well popularized and advertised to wider reach. This will help curb discrimination and stigmatization in the society.

ALL AFRICA DEAF ARTS CREATIVE WORKSHOP and FESTIVAL will not only reduce the rate of Societal Neglecting faced by Artistes living with disability, it will also help Deaf Artistes gain Access to information, encourage Parents hiding their Children with Disabilities to bring them out to become useful persons in the society, as well as expose the talents and abilities of these Artistes living with Disability.
